Women’s Health Physiotherapy

Do you suffer with incontinence, pelvic pain or feelings of prolapse?

How can physiotherapy help with your pelvic issues?

It is a common misconception that women simply have to live with these issues. Women’s Health Physiotherapy uses a combination of additional assessment techniques to help you with your concerns. Including incontinence, increased urinary frequency, constipation, pelvic pain, pain on intercourse, leakage during exercise or sneezing and even persistent deep hip pain that may have an internal cause that other Physiotherapists cannot diagnose.

What is involved in PELVIC health physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy can be of benefit at any stage in your life, from childhood to the more mature. Our Physiotherapist is trained in additional services including internal examinations and external ultrasound imaging to assess the pelvic floor in more detail. With a combination of specific exercises, bladder retaining, symptoms management, lifestyle modification, manual therapy and more. You can see results in most cases almost immediately.

How often do i need to come?

This varies between people. Some require only 1-2 sessions, and others benefit from more.
